Date: 2011-02-21 08:30 am (UTC)If you have a job offer and you don't know that you want to take it then you should politely refuse. You don't need to tell him any more unless you are looking to change his offer.
Goodluck.
I've never had my wisdom teeth out so don't know what that is like. *hugs*

Date: 2011-02-21 11:23 am (UTC)This is for the "small" company, the baby time temp job?
And you still haven't heard from the big, cool, international (= probably even less freedom, more panic?) company, but you're theoretically still interested in working for them, if they invite you for an interview?
Because in that case, perhaps you can tell the potential boss that there' another offer/position you're looking at and ask for more time to decide. You'll probably have to fix a time by which you let him know, whether or not you've heard back from the big cool company by then - but at least that'd give you another week or two to genuinely decide?
And perhaps - as someone else already remarked - it's helpful that this is only a temporary position (even if it might turn permanent)? After all, it's only a year. Perhaps after that year you'll find that you actually like the job and the limitations, or you want to return to full-time freelancing, or you want something that pays better... but until then, it'll give you XP and a wage?
Just things to toss around in your head. I can't decide for you after all.
(Heck, I can't even decide for myself. :p)

I still have all my wisdom teeth, but Jörg and his brother had theirs remove and they both agree that the most important rule is NOT to lie down afterwards - that is, keep your back (and thus your head) in an upright position, so you won't have insane amounts of blood flooding your jaws (= nasty bruises + pain + inability to chew for a week). If you sit upright/ leaning back just slightly (in bed or wherever), gravity will be your friend...
Will you be staying in hospital afterwards, or is it out-patient surgery?

Date: 2011-02-21 12:14 pm (UTC)Unfortunatly it's not that easy. Selfemployment isn't something you just drop out and into again. If I stop with it now, I would start from scratch, if I wanted to start again, meaning I'd need to find new customers etc. And this is not particularly easy.
I gues I'll ask him about a part time option.
About the teeth, my dentist will do it and I'll go home right afterwards. But thanks for the tips!
