I'm still counting/sorting/interpreting your comments, I mean, the ones my dear testbunnies left for Y - The last man.
Here some random stats (just the first pdf!):

Female readers marking Yorick as M-: 16x
Male readers marking Yorick as M-: 2x

Female readers marking 355 as +: 14x
Male readers marking 355 as +: 2x

Female readers marking side character males as M-: 20x
Male readers marking side character males as M-: 2x

Female readers marking side character females as +: 9x
Male readers marking side character females as +: 1x

Edit: Note, I had twice as much female commenters in this first pdf, nearly. Here some examples where more males commented:

Female readers marking 355 as M: 3x
Male readers marking 355 as M: 9x

Female readers marking the garbage model as F / M: 2x / 0x
Male readers marking the garbage model as F / M: 4x / 4x

... pretty interesting! :D
*goes on counting*

You are drawing attention to differences in male and female response - particularly on points where females commented strongly but males didn't. Would it be true to say that male readers generally commented less?

---------

Did you write an introduction to your experiment? - something to say why and what you are doing? I ask because [livejournal.com profile] annafdd is currently doing a research methods course and that is one of the things which I noticed.

I just used these examples because there was the biggest difference :) Also, I had only 7 men making comments here, but 13 females. Another example:

Female readers marking 355 as M: 3x
Male readers marking 355 as M: 9x

Female readers marking the garbage model as F / M: 2x / 0x
Male readers marking the garbage model as F / M: 4x / 4x

About Anna: Well, I can give her some hints for good books/readings, but my texts will all be german ... hm, but then, not too much that I read about research was english ...

I'd probably like to introduce you (electronically) to my friend [livejournal.com profile] delc. Del is an SF fan who loves doing this sort of statistical analysis. I don't know how much "help" you are allowed but he may be able to come up with encouragement.

If nothing else I would love it if you made the data available to him after your project is finished.

Go ahead, I just have NO time right now and would - if - come back to him later. Still, my data is commented on in german, I have to see how much I could translate for him.

Don't make more work for yourself. But thanks anyway.
