Another 'question':

As I also write about educational animation movies, I'd love to get links (youtube, etc) from you of animatated educational movies you loved / liked / remember well! It doesn't matter if they are professionally made or from private persons, they can be purely educational or on the edge of advertisement / propaganda (and then be interesting for historical reasons). Also, it doesn't have to be purely animated.

Here is a very short list of a few of the gems I found:

Kā bērniņš nāk pasaulē
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL0kh8sqsDk
An animation film (education purposes) for Latvian schools. With naked people and they even have sex, but it's clearly for little children, I guess you wouldn't see something like this in the Us?

Fire Gods: an Animated History of Glass
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UYLyEhS4V4
Thousands of years of glassmaking in about 8 minutes using 2D and 3D animation, quite cool.

An Gay Education Cartoon

Educational war propaganda with Donald Duck.

NOT educational, but I found it and it's too good not to share it:

Here in the states, in the 70s, there was a whole series of educational animation shorts done, all set to music, called "Schoolhouse Rock," which gave basic information about a variety of subjects. They were played on Saturday mornings, when a lot of American kids were glued to "cartoons" on the TV.

(In those days, animation was mostly shown on Saturday morning, as it was considered exclusively kids' content, and parents were presumed to sleep late on Saturday).

Here's my favorite, I'm Just a Bill.
