Next Semester

elfyWhat to do?
I guess I have all the points I need to make my diploma. I'm fairly sure, but I got nearly none of the projects I made signed by the profs until now *sigh*. So, if I'm right I don't *have* to visit any course/project next semester. But I *could* - and it's probably the last possibility for me to do so in my studies.
Now, what do I do?
Do I take another project? There is an animation project that interests me, but I'm not sure if can get into it. More important even, there is a scientific seminar that interests me, which is called "Gender, Might, Mightiness" (or so) and it sounds really interesting, about gender and power and visuals and design - something I find highly interesting.
But it means work, it means having to attend the seminar weekly and it means writing and holding a presentation, probably (but without much pressure, as I don't *need* the points).
Hmmm, hmmm. I guess I would like to do that one, really. I just have to see if I really want to make another short term project in addition.

Also, funny/scary coincidence at work/university: It seems someone wanted to delete me!
Three weeks ago I couldn't log in at work anymore. I called the IT guys and they found out somebody set my account to inactive, probably because he didn't know my name (wtf?). The problem was resolved quickly, luckily.
Around the same time I wasn't able to log into the intranet of my university anymore (but I could still check my mails). It didn't work for 2 weeks until I was finally able to go there last week - and the IT guy at university basically told me the same what I was told at work: The system doesn't know me anymore. My data was all still there, somewhere, but the intranet had forgotten I existed. Nice! Well, it was resolved quickly as well, but: WTF?!
