Great, great, great! (IMDB, Official site)
I really loved it. Need to see it again!
I could go on about if for hours, but I neither want to spoil anyone, nor do I want to annoy you ;)
But... really, great movie! I mean everybody knows I like superhero movies, but there are good ones and there are bad ones and Watchmen is just excellent. Great plot, great characters (!!!), fantastic fx (maybe aside that 'cat'), action, romance, very bloody in parts (*shudder*) and... ah, great. And yes, I have to admit I did not read the comic (yet). But there was someone in the row behing me, saying he waited 3 years for the movie and I guess he knew the comic and he was very pleased with the movie as well.
Yes, need to watch a second time on the big screen!

Yep, was a great movie for sure. Though I still don't know why exactly that "most clever man on earth" seemed also to be the fasted man on earth. Why is he that fast? oO

Unintelligeble Psychologist-Insider answer:
Must be the G-Factor

Explanation: There are some psychologists who claim that intelligence does not really consist of many different aspects, but almost everything can be explained by a factor that is called "G-factor". The G-Factor is supposed to be responsible for memory, attention, but also speed, to some degrees. Scientists who believe in the G-Factor theory measure intelligence by the speed you can connect numbers on a sheet of paper. So, "most clever man" = "fastest man" actually makes sense if you are a G-Factor believer. But then, who is? ;)

G-Factor?

Is that something Men have trouble finding?

I dont think it is ever clearly explained why any of the "masks" actually have abilities - except for Dr Manhatten. Night Owl seems to be quite like Batman in that he has lots of tech - and seems trained in martial arts but...

I would *guess* it is genetic in that the daughter of Miss Jupiter is also a super heroine.

Oh - and if you know any intellectual geeks with girlfriends I am sure that all the girls will say that the clever guys are always the fastest to finish.

One of the main points of Watchmen actually is the lack of common abilities usually associated with superheroes. Besides Dr. Manhattan (and to a much lesser degree Ozymandias) nobody in the world of Watchmen has any abilities beyond that what a human is capable of (of course the characters choosing to be a villain/hero in this alternate universe are usually exceptional or excel in certain areas). Some decisions to choose the displayed route are explained in the books (Ozymandias for example, Silk Spectre II, some of the villains), others fit in with the system the world of Watchmen takes place (which is loosely based on a 1930 America).
