My first stop motion movie

So, here it is, the movie I made for the animation seminar. It's my first try with stop motion, so be nice, please. I have to admit I'm quite content with the outcome. The intro was done in flash, also something I usually never use. Yesterday was the presentation in our (small) lecture hall and it was cramped with people and I could hear they enjoy it and that was really nice :D
Warning! - Do not watch this movie if you have arachnophobia or if you hate spiders/ants/crawly things. I'd say the movie is cute (I mean, really, no irony here), but there is much of the above mentioned.

Date: 2009-02-08 09:35 pm (UTC)I do have two pieces of advice... one is to bake the leather for at least half an hour before you put it in the wax mixture, because if there's any water left in the leather when you put it in the wax, it will catch fire. (Fortunately, we had an extinguisher right there).
Secondly, if you can, do this outside, because the stench it leaves is just incredible! The morning after, it was nauseating, and it lingered for at least a week and a half!
The resulting leather, however, is very impact-resistant, which, if you're playing with the SCA, is what you want, since we use rattan staves in place of swords.
