So, finally there is a photo post for the Amphi-Festival. Exactly one week later, phew. But I just didn't manage to make that post earlier... the one time I wanted to, LJ was down. But now! Look forward to a lot of pictures! :D
Much fun was had, but I think I will write more under the pictures.

FRIDAY
On friday there was a pre party at the Essigfarbik (uhm... vinegar manufactory :)). You have to know that there were parties at that place two years ago, which many of us enjoyed quite a lot. Then there were no parties anymore - but now they seem to be back, yay! Two floors, a big one for electro, ebm, industrial etc, a smaller one for goth, dark wave an the like. Entrance was free for the people with an Amphi-ticket - and I for my part enjoyed the party quite a bit! Also a lot of friends who did not come with us to the Amphi were there, too, which was nice.

Zorn and Alex on our way there, playing around with glowsticks :)

View of the dancefloor from the DJs pov.
SATURDAY
First day of the festival! We met at 11pm in a beergarden at the train station in Deutz and some had a (early) meal. After that we walked to the Tanzbrunnen and were in a little while before the first band started. Some of us took a first tour all over the place, to check out the shops and the food stalls ;)
Below is a list of bands that played on Saturday, I made the ones I saw (and actually listened to) bold. I guess I forgot some.

The Tanzbrunnen or well, the spring that gave it its name :) Not very full at that time.

Thomas and me while waiting for Xotox to start. I wore my horns, quite some people looked at them, but nobody asked from where I got them ;)

Xotox! It was much fun!

Better picture of the band.
I actually made a short video to give you an impression of what music they make. It's just 39 seconds and yes, I guess for many it's noise, not music ;) But see for yourself:
39 seconds of Xotox @ Amphi 2007
( I really hope the link works).

We went to watch Eisbrecher and
zorn started to make a tradiction of secretly making a knot into Svens ribbons. She also did that at the WGT :) Oh, I was just told, I myself was it at the WGT ^^;; He usually only notices after a while *g*

Eisbrecher

Two nicely dressed guys. They actually have an online shop for custom made clothes: schwarze-mo.de (german).

ASP
That was it already for saturday, actually. But a lot more pictures are there for sunday, as I took more time actually photographing people.
SUNDAY

Saltatio Mortis = Much fun! And a half naked singer. Niiiice! The MC actually announced them say: "Usually I would shoot anyone playing a bagpipe, but this time I'll make an exception." ;)

More men should wear skirts.

The weather was mixed, but much nicer than expected. We had sun quite often, on saturday only very little rain. On sunday a bit more, but just one bigger shower. That was all in all better than last year, were the sun was burning all the time.

Fancy dresses.

These two guys were photographed very often.

But well, there was a reason. They were quite yummy.
On there chest they wrote "A Hörnchen" and "B Hörnchen" (Chip 'n Dale) :)

Heimaterde. Strange, but not too bad.

Another fancy dress.

"Would you kiss each other for a photo?" - "Why not?" :D
Actually I love that they wear corsets. More guys should wear corsets.

Stupid me, I had a pic with her eyes open, but I deleted it accidentially.
But well, I was told, nobody was caring about the closed eyes in that picture anyway... ;)

A short visit in the hall made me take off the mask I wore this day. Or well, I put it up on my head. It was very dark in there and wearing the mask I couldn't see very well.

TEH FUNNEH! There were actually, uhm, normal people standing at the fence around the Tanzbrunnen, looking at us strange people inside ;) Quite amusing.

Our group, sitting down and relaxing.
blaufeuer,
zorn asked me to put in this picture just for you :)

"She is stealing my caaaaamera!!!" ;)

Samsas Traum, obviously. Picture taken by

Like I said, inbetween it rained. Picture by

People making bubbles :)

Me with my mask on.

Sonja and Rafael, couple of the day. They were SO cute. And I actually love that picture.

For
mopese :)

The gothic scene is very wide spread. Everything there from medival people to electro people... and punks.

Dots! And Stripes! :)

On the right some of the stalls where they sold clothes and jewelery and accessories.

One of my favourite outfits on the festival. Military stile clothing and a white corset with roses WTF?!
And yes, it's a guy, before anybody asks.

Possibly one of the oldest festival guests :) She is over 70, I asked :) She and her daughter (right) came especially to see Subway to Sally. But other bands as well, as they were there on saturday, too.

The last band there: Apoptygma Berzerk. Fortunatly they played their really best songs.

zorn and me.

alexmc, shortly before we were thrown out :)
BONUS-PICTURES
Actually, I took a lot more pictures. I tried to pick the ones that gave an impression of the festival best. But there are some series I took left, which I wanted to show you. And to make it a bit loading-friendlier I put several pics together always.
Colorful
First, really noby can say the gothic scene is 'black only', or? :)

Err... Hawai, anyone?
More color: Hair!

Kids
At the festival were quite a lot of kids of all ages. I was a bit surprised, but then, the festival is quite family-friendly. There is a playground, a stall from gothic-family.net, it's in the city and not somewhere in the countryside, it's not too big, etc.
They all, as far as I noticed, wore earplugs or headphones when there was load music playing near by.
I am actually a bit sad I didn't take a photo of the pictures wall at the gothic-family.net thingy... the kids had drawn pictures of their families and many moms and dads were dressed in black, haha :)
Ah! Actually you can see the pictures online! :D

Skin... well, Ass.
Many people liked to show skin :) Or ass, for that matter ;)

Well, that was it :)
Hope you had fun watching.
