New Cam?

So, my camera is as good as broken. It was again and again over the last year, I always got it somehow fixed, because I hate our Wegwerfgesellschaft (I even got it repaired twice by professional people). But right now it seems to be seriously broken, I cant turn it on for longer than a few seconds and then only with holding it in a certain position and the zoom is broken etc. Also, the picture quality seems to get worse and worse, I have dead pixels all over my pictures and I notice a 'glowing' effect on my pictures more and more and it has a very strong color-noise.
The problem is, I just can't afford a new one right now. I know I booked an expensive flight in december, but that was with money I didn't count on anyway and damn, I really want to make that trip. Unfortunatly, money is tighter than I thought, as I have to come up with 140 Euro more *every* month from now on. I don't really have a clue how to make that. One of the first things is for example is not going to the Mera Luna, what I'd really would have loved to do. But it's too expensive and besides I guess I'd loose at least one day I could work instead.
Oh well, long story short: I don't have money for a new camera. But I really want a new one. And I have the loveliest mother on earth, who said she would give me some money to buy a new one :D <3 It's not that I could make 'big jumps' and buy the best and newest, but it's enough to help me out affort a good, new camera. Right now I strongly tend to buy the Exilim EX-Z75. If anyone has anything to say about that (in the next two-three hours!) do so :) Or give me other recommendations.

What I like about this cam:
Not too expensive,
Anti-Shake,
SD-Card-compatible,
small,
can make movies (my old one could only 30 sec movies, when buying it I never thought that would bother me, but damn it did!)
and well, seems to get good grades everywhere.

Downside is that I know the recharging station and don't like it, but oh well. And someone somewhere said it's hard to turn off the digital zoom and that the cam forgets that with every turning on/off. Also, I'd have LOVED to have a cam with a better zoom (ideally this one: Kodak EasyShare v610, but it is more expensive and doesn't have good grades). Ah, well, I'll read some more about cams now... after breakfast :)

Hab ich wirklich überlegt, also, mit dem Warten... Sache ist, es gibt keine Kamera, die in gewissem Rahmen mehr kostet (z.B. eben 50 Euro), die viel besser zu sein scheint, deshalb ja der Post, ob es da sozusagen noch Geheimtipps gibt :). Sogar die neueren Exilims schneiden teilweise in den Berichten schlechter ab. Und die Kodak, auch wenn sie nen tollen Zoom hat, würde ich mir wegen der sonstigen schlechteren Eigenschaften wohl nicht holen. Also, die ausgewählte ist im Moment wirklich mein Favorit - und dass sie dazu noch günstig ist, ist mein Glück, sozusagen. Und wenn da jetzt ne Kamera wäre, die 50 Euro mehr kostet, die so viel toller ist, würde ich das wohl auch noch machen (=kaufen), aber da ist keine, die mich da so überzeugt, bisher...
Und aaaanderthalb Monate noch mal ohne Kamera? ;)
Ich glaube, ich fände schon toll, wenn ich jetzt wieder eine bekäme.

Ich habe die FujiFilm FinePix S5500. Die ist ziemlich gut und kann äußerst viel. So ziemlich alles, was eine Spiegelreflex kann, einziges Manko ist natürlich, dass man bei einer "normalen" Digicam wie dieser nicht das Objektiv wechseln kann!

Und sie hat ziemliche Probleme, wenn es darum geht, Aufnahmen in dunklen Räumen zu machen.

Nun, ich liebe meine FinePix, aber es steht sicherlich ausser Frage, dass es nun wahrscheinlich bessere gibt, ausgehend von der Tatsache, das ich sie schon zwei Jahre besitze! ;D
Aber vielleicht kommst du jetzt an diese FinePix billiger 'ran, solltest du dich dafür interessieren! :)

I'm partial to sony and canon digital cameras - they're my favorites. I don't recommend kodak digital.

Ich hatte mal eine Billigkamera, die ging kaputt nach drei Jahren. Jetzt habe ich eine teure von Fujifilm und hoffe mal, die hält eine Weile. Ich kann die gehobenen Modelle der Finepix-Serie eigentlich nur empfehlen. Sind allerdings auch alle recht groß, mit ausladenden Objektiven.

Everyone has their own likes. I would never hesitate to buy another Kodak, though. I bought the Kodak Dx 7440 Easy Share two years ago, when it was on sale. I knew little or nothing about digital photography, and I could use it right away, and take decent pictures. As time went on, I learned a lot, most of it by accident, because I never read the book. One reason I bought it was because of the ion battery. I hate running out of A batts and then having to change in the middle of something I'm doing. I've taken over 700 pictures at a quilt show (without flash - about 500 with) and not had a problem.

So far, I've taken 14,500 pictures with this camera, including some movies, and the only problems have been user error! I've even taken night pictures, moon pictures, close-ups just inches away, and mountains. I love this camera! My only wish is for more optical zoom, but I manage okay without it. I'm not planning to get a new one until this one falls apart!

Charging is cinchy - I just stick it in the charger for a couple of hours every Sunday, unless I'm doing a special large thing, like a quilt show. I don't even use the easy share feature - I just stick it in the card reader and put photos wherever I want them.
