London gotz me back
Jan. 12th, 2007 12:27 amSo, yes, yes, I'm still alive, hooray!
In London again, right now sitting in Alex' livingroom or frontroom, how it is more often called. Simba the big furball is with me, lying on the other sofa. I'm pretty tired, but I actually should do some work for school... guess thats why I'm writing this entry :-P.
So... the flight here was wonderful! We flew just at sunset time and I took some nice pictures :D

Back in London we went to Leytonstone with the tube, then we had to face the walk to Alex house with all our heavy bags... we desperatly looked for a trolley from Tesco, sometimes kids (?) steal them and *sometimes* they are not magnet-locked then. We were lucky enough to find a trolley after let's say 1/6th of the way, but not lucky enough, the wheels were locked. Right as Julia checked it, a car was stopping next to me (I was waiting on the other side of the road with all the luggage). I went to the car, where the driver made the window go down and he asked me where we need to go and if we wanted a lift. Oh yes! Old indian guy with a turban, oh, he got so many karma points from us! Driving to Alex house was like 2 minutes or so, walking there with our heavy bags would have taken 20 at least. We were so happy :D Good start, definatly ;)
Well, this evening we didn't do much and on saturday we started to clean the house with Alex. He wanted to make a turkey on sunday and invited lots of friends and... well, I guess it was pretty good we could help cleaning up :) And actually, I am happy when I can help him here in the house, without Alex and his hospitality I wouldn't be able to afford London.
Sunday was very nice! I slept in a tiny bit and then we cleaned up the rest and made the backroom ready for having dinner there and around 1 I think
dougs was the first one to show up. Slowly more people showed up while Alex was going crazy in the kitchen. Constantly people wanted to help him, but I think most of the time we more or less stood in the way ^^. But well, in the end meal was ready, including original german red cabbage (Rotkohl), because in the UK they don't have it (or at least I couldn't find it until now, maybe Lidl/Aldi have it). The only red cabbage they have is with LOTS of vinegar (kinda like mixed pickles and stuff).
After that there was some games playing and we watched the final episode of Torchwood in the evening. Aaaaah, I must not spoil! But, but, but, I can just say, yay! Haha :D
We also played the not-online-version of this game and I Iove it and definatly have to get it!

Monday school started with the usual monday morning meeting, where we got to know more about the projectswe the others were allowed to choose from. We couldn't choose, as one of the projects is 'Play' - and that is what we were coming here for ;) But thats okay, I think this is the most interesting project anyway. Beside the choclate one, maybe... oh well ;)
In the afternoon we had a meeting regarding our 'Reading Club'. We were sorted into 12 groups of 6-8 people each, and each group has to read a book and present it to the other groups. Like, next monday is our presentation. A week for reading an english book and making a presentation of 45 minutes about it together with 7 other people... not *this* easy. I mean, reading the book, not that much of a problem, but getting the presentation together... not so easy.
That is actually what I should be working on right now... but I soooo don't want to *sigh* Just... don't know. The topic is interesting, but english air seems to make me tired. I don't know why, I didn't need that much sleep in germany, here I can sleep all day.
Julia was talking about a new series, Heros and we started watching it this evening... first we only wanted to see the pilot... then we also watched the second episode. Damn, it's pretty cool! I enjoyed it very much and can't wait to see more!
Guh, going to bed now, it's late. *waves*
Oh, I forgot, I got my essay from the first term back and I got 70% on it - thats a 'Very Good' :D Yey!
Also, in the past four days I two times dreamt I'm having a baby, what do I have to think about that? Thats reeeeeally kinda strange.

Date: 2007-01-12 04:38 am (UTC)Congratulations on your grade.
Some people think that dreaming about having a baby is a metaphor for creating something great, extraordinairy, but not necessarily a child. Or it could just be good old instict, which I think is kicking in with me as well. Worst part is that I'm not even scared of it anymore ;)
In the end, considering some of the horrible people making babies, I'd be really relieved to know that someone like you would educate a child. :)
