Summer begins
Jun. 15th, 2006 11:15 amSo, already some days went by again without an entry. I always have something in mind to write, but hardly ever manage to actually write it. Even right now I shouldn't sit here and type, in an hour I have to head off to university and after that I'll go to work... yeah, even if it's an holiday today. Projectmeeting because the others didn't have time on another day, work, because there seems always something to do. It's somehow funny, it was my boss suggesting that I'll not come every day, but work more intensly the time I am there (what I am fine with and what I think I'm doing), yet he is always happy when I come more often than just the three days I'm supposed to come in.
Well, the last weekend was nice. Friday evening we sat in the Volksgarten, having a little barbeque. Satureday I went home, well, not exactly, but directly to an old school friends party. I met several girls there I went to school with, one of them was my former best friend. It was nice seeing them again, finding out what they are doing right now. Ines (who invited me) was pretty busy, so we couldn't talk as much, we'll have to meet again for that.
I am always kind of surprised seeing the girls from my former class... you know, I feel really young. As in, as if I'm still not really a woman yet, with 25. I know many girls (yeah, I even say girls, not women) my age, which I don't see as women, but... well, young women/girls. This is not the standard for my age group, there are for sure females my age I'd call woman - but especially in my peer groups there are not really much of these. The interesting thing is that it seems to be the same with a big part of my former classmates, as in... they also still have this girl/young woman feel to them. And what really surprised me (on one hand, on the other hand I totally expected this), as far as we know, none of our former classmates has children yet (except a girl who left the school way earlier) and only a little hand full is married until now (like, 3 or 4 out of 50 or so girls). I find this quite unusual for girls around 24 to 26... but then, it's not so unusal for girls/women who study.
Ah well, there is more to write, but I really have to prepare the meeting now.
Friday I'm going home again, satureday is the comic convention in Erlangen, I'm looking forward to that. Next week I'll be in the hospital quite often, as a friend get's an OP and I want to visit her a few times.
