Terrorists

elfyI have to admit I don't watch or read news regularly. There is enough bad stuff in the world. I like to know whats going on, but I feel bad for not being able to do anything effective, seeing all these wars and catastrophes going on.
This thing happening right now in Russia, where some terrorists took control over a school... thats something that makes my stomach cramp. It's just impossible for me to imagine how people can be so fanatic and heartless to shoot kids down. It just makes me cringe to think about it. In general, when I think about such stuff and imagine murders going on, it gives me the creeps.
War is just so unbelievable senseless.

Ich muss zugeben, ich schaue oder lese nicht grade regelmäßig irgendwelche Nachrichten. Da ist zu viel Schlechtes in der Welt. Ich weiß gern was abgeht, aber ich fühle mich immer schlecht bei dem Gedanken, dass ich im Grunde nichts effektives dagegen tun kann, wenn ich all diese Kriege und Katastrophen sehe.
Was da im Moment in Russland passiert, wo die Terroristen die Schule in ihre Gewalt gebracht haben... das ist was, was mir Magenkrämpfe beschehrt. Ich kann mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen, wie jemand so fanatisch und herzlos sein kann, Kinder abzuschiessen. Es schüttelt mich, nur daran zu denken. Generell, wenn ich über sowas nachdenke und mich in die Situation hineinversetze wenn irgendwelche Morde passieren, macht mir das Gänsehaut.
Krieg ist so unglaublich sinnlos.

Date: 2004-09-03 04:51 am (UTC)just wanted to add that some scientists believe, that without war we would still be in the stoneage. on the other hand, you could of course say that some nations beginning wars these days are maybe not technically in the stone-age, but ethically for sure.
