New Keyboard. Not as loud as the old one.... wonder, if I'll get used to it quickly. Keystroking is a bit harder then before.
Highly annoying: Clicking the scrolling wheel doesn't open new tabs anymore in Mozilla :-( I loved that function, have to find out how to get it back. (The settings in mozilla are still correct. hm.)

In the location bar (aka address bar, address field...) type about:config, then in the "Filter" text field type the word middleclick and make sure the value of browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick is set to true. If it isn't, change it (double-click on it and change from false to true, the settings should take effect without restarting Mozilla). If it still doesn't work, you can always delete your profile (backing up bookmarks before and other important settings, themes, cookies, etc.)...

it is set to true... what help would it bring to delete the profile?
i think the problem is the mouse driver. when i click the wheel, it displays a few options, right where my mouse is now. like, zoom, calc, media, ie, mail, etc. when i click on the mouse settings i can just choose between 3d wheel or scrolling. but the only effect is, if i set it to scrolling, it does NOT scroll anymore in mozilla (but in other programs). the little popup thing is still there. gah.

thanks for the help! :)

Ahh, I see what you meant now. I thought you meant the window was opening in a new window instead of in a tab.

Deleting the mozilla profile (would be useless now that we know it's not related to Mozilla) would reset the settings and at the next start you would start with the default settings, but I don't think it would disable the software that loads that pop-up.

You would have to disable that software, it's probably something that has been installed at the same time of the keyboard/mouse driver (if it has one)... Usually it's something you can see in your system tray (bottom right corner of the screen, next to the clock). You can try in the mouse properties in the Control Panel, or if it's not there then you can see it in msconfig (Start | Run... | msconfig.exe (if you don't have it because you use XP or 2000, you can easily find it on google, like here here (http://www.techadvice.com/specs/files_dl.asp?fnid=174))), in the "Startup" tab (the list of programs that starts when Windows starts). And then, if you find that program, you can disable it from here (uncheck the box next to its name) so it doesn't loads in memory at each Windows start and doesn't show that popup when you middle click.

I hope it helps :)
