Also a big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] kaneda who is helping me with the computer-stuff :)

hehe, what a delightful list of gifts! I see you even got her a pixi-book:-)
I got one a few months ago for myself, they are kind of nostalgic and cute.

I really like the idea with the 50 gifts for the 50th birthday and an awesome list of presents. My mom will be 50 next year, so maybe I can try that, too, if I can come up with 50 presents ;-).

I have a bigger collection of pixi-books (50+? maybe even around 100) :) I once decided to collect them, but there are so many i am back to the point where i said i will only get the ones i like. and i usually get them on fleamarkets, so they are used, but really cheap.

I tell you, just start early enough :) Like, 2-3 month ahead. Or start now already, at least to make a list of possible gifts she would like. Most gifts on my list make some kind of sense (for example, the stationary, quite some years ago my mother collected these 'Liebe ist...' cartoons out of the newspaper... or the puzzle... it's a pic which is hanging on her wall since... i can think :)).
But I can tell you, even if some things were really cheap (1-2 Euro), others were pretty expensive (computer... ^^;;). thats another reason to get the presents over a longer time, it's easier to afford ^^.

That's a good idea starting early on that, because my mom's birthday is in February ;-). It's really a great idea, I have to think about it and talk to my brother, maybe we can do that together and split the costs. I'm sure your mom will be thrilled with all her presents :-).
