they made me cry. the last time i saw my grandpa, i bought him new slippers and knelt on the hospital floor to put them on his feet. then i made him tea. he died in his sleep suddenly two days later. i still miss him.
i have nothing against grandfathers, i miss mine more then anything in the world, i loved him to death.....but they really have no place in nude picutres....really come on im sure hes a great person but try someone younger...no offense
i think nude pictures of elderly are wonderful when done right-there is so much a sense of the fragility of the human body. These pictures are wonderful (especially the toe).
Just some things: 1. Your photos are incredible and an excellent example of why photography IS art. 2. Your grandfather looks DAMNED good - I'd hardly call him fragile. You make him look strong and very much alive. 3. I hope you always ignore the "Anonymous" posts that have no clue about the beauty inherent in all stages of life.
I'm sure you have no trouble having your photos published but, if you're interested you might check us out - www.dhj.homestead.com. We're a non-profit art/literary journal on line and our next issue is themed: black and white.
