The new semester plan
Feb. 17th, 2008 07:17 pmThe new semester plan is out.
Since a few days actually and I just managed to check on it today. How sad is that? The last semesters I was always so excited and couldn't wait for the day the new plan comes out to see which projects I could take. Well, it's not that it's not interesting to read it and there are a few projects that catch my attention, so I should find some to do this semester, I just didn't have the time to check it. Still, it's a bit akward. I catch myself already planning the days in a manner so I can work enough at the same time. For example even projects that make me curious lose my interest when I see they have two meetings a week for two hours and not one for four hours. Because two meetings means potentially two afternoons I can't work. I should try to take the projects I want to take (and which I need for my diploma) instead of judging based on how much I will manage to work besides that.
I really hope I can stay with the job I do now for a little while longer (thankfully it's looking good), because it pays really okay and I could afford working only 20 hours a week and living from that. Free time will go down the drain, but, oh well. I fear june, when my support from the state runs out. It only pays my health insurance, but still, thats money I don't have to get together as well right now. I'm very insecure how it will go on then with taxes and insurances and everything. I fear I can't afford going on like this. But well, we will see, it's not that time yet. I try to work as much as possible until university starts again. I doubt I'll be able to save much, but I have hopes not to make more depts. Depends on my taxes a bit, which I should have done two weeks ago.
