Begin / Anfang

So, gestern nun also der erste Tag im Studium. Es war sehr nett :) Wir haben einen Dozenten, der beim Vornamen genannt werden will (Johann) und sich bemüht, uns die Grundlagen des Zeichnens beizubringen. Also, des konstruierten Zeichnens, klar. Nichts neues für mich, aber als Auffrischung mal sehr gut, vor allem, dass man sich hinsetzen und tatsächlich zeichnen muss. Stühle natürlich, was auch sonst.
Übrigens, wer behauptet hat, Design zu studieren sei teuer - der hatte recht. 10 Copics sollten wir mal eben kaufen, davon 7 Grautöne, zwei Braun und einer Hellblau. Und bestimmte Fineliner bzw. Kulis. Nun, es ist nicht so, dass ich sie nicht auch später nicht gut brauchen kann, bzw., dass ich nicht eh gern Copics hätte... aber mal so eben 50 Euro ausgeben ist nicht ohne.
Wir haben 4 Leute in der Klasse, die kein oder sehr, sehr wenig Deutsch können. Leider kann Johann kein Englisch oder kanns zumindest nicht gut. Deshalb gibt es für die 4 Simultanübersetzung von den Studenten, die neben ihnen sitzen. Sind alles nette Leute in der Klasse, mit Norma neben mir (die ich auch schon vom Interview kannte), hab ich mich gut unterhalten und in der Mittagspause mit Rosie aus Glasgow, die seit Vorgestern erst überhaupt in Köln ist.
Moni und Tanja haben mir am Abend vorher Glück gwünscht per Mail und SMS, das fand ich sooo süß. Hat mich sehr gefreut :)
Und gleich gehts wieder los :) Deshalb, bis später.

So, yesterday the first day of studying again. It was really nice :) We've got a teacher who wants us to call him by his first name (Johann) and who tries to teach us the basics of drawing. Well, konstructed (?) drawing, not free hand. Nothing really new for me, but pretty good for practicing again. We are drawing chairs, what else.
Also, whoever said studying Design is expensive - was right. We had to buy 10 Copics, 7 in different shades of grey, two brown ones and one light blue... just so I had to spend 50 Euro on some pens. It's not as if I don't need them afterwards and well, I also wanted to own Copics at some point, but to just *have* to spend this much money? Ugh.
We've got 4 people in our class who don't speak german, but Johann talks in german anyway, he says his english isn't very good. So the four get simultan-translation from the students who sit next to them. Very nice people in this class, talked to Norma, who is sitting next to me (and who I know from the interview) and during lunchtime I talked to Rosie from Glasgow, who is in cologne since two days only.
Moni and Tanja wished me luck by SMS and eMail the evening before, that was sooo sure. It really made me happy :)
