Matrix Bochum

So last night we went to the Matrix in Bochum. zorn drove and Tanja and Moni came along, too. All four of us never were there before, so it was a 'Lets check out that club' tour. And what can I say, it was a nice night. The location is very nice, it's huge, with four different floors and a cafe/restaurant and additional places to just sit and talk. Too bad it's over an hour drive there (getting there in a snow storm was not fun, but driving home is more exhausting, I really tried my best to stay awake and keep zorn company, while she was driving).
Downside was that it is so huge it is hard to decide where to go and listen to the music :) Especially if you like many things and not just one kind. They had an 80'ies floor, a Hardrock/Rock/Metal/Alternativefloor, one for Electro and one where at first they played middleage stuff, dark wave and goth and later Noize (and I have to admit I like it, even if this 'music' really is... noise and hardly anything else). And... yeah, when I go out, I like to meet people I know. I like to watch and dance and getting to know people, too, but I like to see a face I know once in a while. In Bochum this is (nearly) impossible, because not that many people I know also go there. So, this should be a more regular event for me, to get to know people there, then it would be better, but I'm not sure I'll go there often, because it's quite a bit away. Also, I was 5 or 6 times in the Essigfabrik and didn't really get to know someone there, guess because it was on a monthly basis - like the Matrix. But well, I can be wrong. I just prefer to go out to meet people, not mainly for dancing (whereas both at once is the best thing).
And to be true, I even met people I know in the Matrix! A girl and a guy from the KitKat club and not just someone, but the two who were at the same table like M and me most of the evening (for those who already saw a photo, the girl with the metal-bra and the guy with the uniform). That was fun :) Hajo and his girlfriend (?) were also there, I didn't get the style-discussion Zorn predicted, thou.
Too bad I didn't see daemonbeauty anywhere, but maybe I should have asked here before, if she will be there. Well, maybe I remember next time.

Also, letzte Nacht sind wir in die Matrix nach Bochum getingelt. zorn ist gefahren und hat Tanja, Moni und mich mitgenommen. Wir waren alle vier noch nicht da, also war es eine 'schauen wir mal wie dieser Club so ist'-Tour. Und, was soll ich sagen, es war eine sehr nett Nacht. Die Lokation ist sehr fein, ziemlich... sehr groß (und verwinkelt - toll!), mit vier Floors und einem Cafe/Restaurant und noch weiteren Möglichkeiten einfach zum Sitzen und Quatschen. Zu blöd, dass man über eine Stunde unterwegs ist dort hin (und durch den Schneesturm zu fahren war kein Spaß, aber nach Hause fahren ist noch anstrengender, ich hab wirklich mein Bestes versucht was zu bleiben und zorn Gesellschaft zu leisten beim Fahren).
Der Nachteil ist, es ist wirklich so groß, dass es schon schwer ist zu entscheiden, wo man hingehen soll, um sich die Musik anzuhören :) Besonders wenn man viel mag und eben nicht nur eine Sorte. Es gab einen 80er Floor, einen Hardrock/Rock/Metal/Alternativefloor, einen für Elektro und dann noch einen, wo sie erst Mittelalter, Darkwave und Goth spielte und später dann Noize (und ich muss zugeben, dass ich das mag, auch wenn diese 'Musik' eigentlich wirklich... Krach ist und kaum was anderes). Und... ja, wenn ich weggehe, mag ich es, Leute zu treffen die ich kenne. Sie alles angucken, tanzen, neue Leute kennenlernen, auch, klar, aber ich sehe gern ein bekanntes Gesicht ab und an. In Bochum ist das (fast) unmöglich, weil ich einfach nicht viele Leute aus Köln kenne, die sich da hin verirren. Also, wenn das für mich ein regelmäßigerer Event wäre, damit ich Leute kennen lernen kann, dann wäre es noch besser, aber ich weiß nicht ob ich da oft hingehen werde, einfach weil es so weit weg ist. Außerdem war ich auch 5-6 Mal in der Essigfabrik und hab da eigentlich niemanden kennengelernt, ich vermute mal, weil es eben nur eine monatliche Veranstaltung war - wie eben auch die Matrix. Aber nunja, vielleicht liege ich ja auch falsch. Ich geh eben vor allem zum Laute treffen aus, nicht vorrangig zum Tanzen (wobei natürlich beides zusammen das allerbeste ist).
Und um ehrlich zu sein, ich hab ja sogar Leute getroffen, die ich kannte! Ein Mädel und ein Kerl vom KitKat und nicht irgendwer, nein, sondern die zwei, die auch fast den ganzen Abend an dem Tisch waren, an dem auch M und ich uns aufgehalten hatten (für die, die schon Fotos gesehen haben, das Mädel mit dem Metall-BH und der Typ mit der Uniform). Das war lustig :) Hajo und seine Freundin waren auch da, aber ich bekam nicht die von Zorn prophezeihte Stil-diskussion.
Zu schade, dass ich daemonbeauty dort nirgends gesehn habe, aber vielleicht hätte ich sie vorher fragen sollen, ob sie denn da ist. Naja, vielleicht ja beim nächsten Mal.
